RABAT, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) - The Arab region recorded the highest rates of unemployment globally in 2010 with 18 million people unemployed, according to the Arab Labor Organization (ALO). According to a report by the Organisation was quoted by the news agency MAP, although the Arab world has achieved one of the highest rates of unemployment in 2010, there are approximately 15 million foreign workers in the Gulf with transfer estimated at 60 billion dollars.

The report pointed to disparities in average productivity of Arab workers in the industrial sector in Qatar with $ 303,000 only $ 14,000 against Mauritania and Egypt in 5885 dollars. The document underlines that some countries, such as Morocco, Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman and Egypt, have registered unemployment rate "acceptable" in relation to their economic levels. While calling it "dangerous" threshold of unemployment in 12 other Arab countries, the organization notes that the average working week in the Arab region is estimated at 47 hours for men and 41 hours for women, while that means is 60 hours for the staff organizations and international organizations based in the region. It has, in this sense, emphasized the necessity of establishing an information network on the Arab market employment to serve as a communication tool between the different parts of the production chain Arab countries.
