More than 14,000 refugees have "died at the borders" of Europe since 1988.
Much More than 11,000 have died before even entering the European territory, including 4 696 in Africa. Nearly 10 000 have drowned in the Mediterranean following the sinking of their boats, launched by their smugglers at sea or near the coast, or fleeing police who tried to question them. Read more ...
